Our team of qualified Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) work with people of all ages, from babies to adults. SLPs assess, diagnose, and treat many types of communication and swallowing problems:
Speech Sound Disorders: how we say sounds and put sounds together into words (e.g. articulation).
Language Disorders: how well we understand what we hear or read and how we use words to tell others what we are thinking.
Social Communication Disorders: how well we follow rules, like taking turns, how to talk to different people, or how close to stand to someone when talking.
Fluency Disorders: also called stuttering, is how well speech flows.
Feeding & Swallowing: how well we suck, chew, and swallow food and liquid.
Our dedicated team of occupational therapists (OTs) help individuals improve their ability to perform daily activities that are important to them, such as self-care, work, and social participation. OTs address a variety of issues:

ATS also partners with select charter schools, staffing the Exceptional Student Services (ESS) team. The purpose of ESS is to assist students with Individualized Education Plans (IEP) or 504 Plans, who have learning difficulties, adjustment difficulties, or other special needs. Our mission is to provide the following services to students, parents, teachers, and other school personnel:
-SBLC and RTI Process: Intervention for qualifying students
-Evaluation of students to determine if an exceptionality and need of special education services exist
-Interpretation of evaluation findings to school personnel and parents
-Case manager and Direct support services to students based on their communication plan/IEP
-Related services to students with exceptionalities
ATS provides early intervention services through Louisiana EarlySteps. We provide services to families with infants and toddlers aged birth to three years (36 months) who have a medical condition likely to result in a developmental delay, or who have developmental delays. Children with delays in cognitive, motor, vision, hearing, communication, social-emotional or adaptive development may be eligible for services. Our dedicated team of speech-language pathologist, provide language and/or feeding therapy to children, along with their parents/guardians.
